We are happy that you are visiting us the Catholic Churches of the states of Pahang and Terenganu. There are the two East Coast States of Peninsular Malaysia. The Catholic Church in these states belong to the Archiodiocese of Kuala Lumpur (The other two states in the archidiocese are Selangor and Negeri Sembilan). The churches in these two states is refered to as the District of Pahang – Terengganu (There are 7 others district). The total area of the state of Pahang is 35,960 sq km while Terengganu is 12,955 sq km bringing it to a total of 48,945 sq kms. It taken you exactly 3 hours to drive (within speed limit) from the East to the West of this area and six hours to cover from the North to the South of the district. The district consists of 5 churches and 19 Chapels/Mass Center. They are CARED for by a Catholic Population of 5000, 4 diocesan priests, 8 women religious. The population consists of Catholic who have came from the West Coast in the early years. The parishioners are made up of a number of indeginius of Orang Asli, a sizeable number of migrants/expatriates from Sabah, Sarawak, Indonesia, East Timur, Vietname, India, Burma, Philiphine, a few from Mexico, USA, UK, Korea, Australia and Pakistan.
